The DAIMOND GUILD wasn't built from a business plan. It was built from personal experience — from a career that struggled to fit into the conventional mould, and from a stubborn belief that experience shouldn't diminish opportunity, it should broaden it.
For years, the idea of building The DAIMOND GUILD lived quietly in the back of my mind — it felt like a pipe dream to create a work-place for people like me, whose expertise is substantial but need a degree of adaptability to thrive.
Having spent thirty years building genuine expertise as a Senior Leader in Technical Delivery, I was made redundant. And something shifted.
"The redundancy felt like the worst timing. It turned out to be the best timing. Because it forced me to stop waiting for the right moment and start building."
AI had matured at exactly the right moment — amplifying my experience, filling the gaps in my knowledge, and making the pipe dream finally possible.
As I began to think seriously about what I wanted to build, I knew there must be thousands of professionals across the UK in similar positions to myself — people with a wealth of expertise who feel like they're starting to be overlooked because of their age, people with health challenges who simply need to work differently to do their best work. Not because they are less capable. Because the rules were written in the industrial age.
These are not people who want charity. They are not people who need sympathy. They need someone to recognise that what they have been through has made them more resilient, and ultimately more valuable.
The DAIMOND GUILD was built for those people. And because I am that person, it was a calling rather than ambition. I know what it means to feel undervalued despite everything you've achieved. And I know what it would mean to have someone say: bring everything you have. It's exactly what we need.
Diamonds are formed over time and in adverse conditions. They don't shine despite the conditions, they shine because of them. And when they finally emerge, their quality is undeniable.
The DAIMOND GUILD is that diamond. The result of 30 years experience and a fair amount of adversity, from expertise that never stopped growing even when opportunities reduced, and from the stubborn conviction that the professionals the market can undervalue are precisely the ones your most important projects need.
"This business is the diamond that comes out of adversity."
Chris has spent over 30 years in Technical Delivery, overseeing complex projects and programmes in businesses of all sizes across multiple sectors. He founded The DAIMOND GUILD in 2026 after his own experience of navigating a career that didn't always fit the conventional mould — an experience that gave him both the motivation and the conviction to build something different. He leads The DAIMOND GUILD as Guild Director, overseeing quality, client relationships, and the community of professionals who make the Guild what it is.
Whether you're a business with a project that demands Guild standard delivery, or an experienced professional ready to level up and strengthen the Guild — we'd love to meet you.
